Philips and Getinge have announced a collaboration in Europe aimed at facilitating hospitals' access to an integrated anaesthesia and monitoring solution.

This collaboration merges Philips' monitoring technology with the anaesthesia care products of Getinge, providing a single point of contact for support and purchasing, thereby assisting clinicians in delivering care within operating theatres.

Specifically, the move merges Getinge's Flow Family anaesthesia delivery systems with Philips' IntelliVue patient monitoring technology.

This solution allows for data transfer between devices, ensuring compatibility with standardised staff workflows and hospital infrastructure.

By integrating technologies from both brands, the offering streamlines procurement and eases installation, backed by coordinated training strategies to assist hospitals in implementing the solution.

Healthcare facilities can now benefit from interconnected perioperative solutions that assist clinicians in providing optimal care to patients.

Last month, Philips formed a partnership with Optum Healthcare and became a preferred in-network provider of cardiac monitoring services across the US.
