Philips and Masimo have renewed their partnership to expedite the development and delivery of next-generation patient monitoring solutions.

This multi-year strategic collaboration seeks to broaden the availability of connected care technologies across healthcare facilities.

It incorporates Masimo's monitoring technologies such as sensor technology, SET pulse oximetry, and Radius PPG, into the multi-parameter patient monitoring platforms of Philips.

This integration offers clinicians dependable data and actionable insights across central stations, wearable solutions, and monitors, while also providing the flexibility to utilise preferred measurement technologies within unified systems.

The collaboration seeks to provide streamlined tools, minimise complexity, and improve interoperability to support timely decision-making along with care continuity.

Philips executive vice-president and Connected Care business leader Julia Strandberg said: "Our priority is helping clinicians deliver the best possible care to their patients, and that means staying ahead of the curve.

"This partnership allows us to respond quickly to evolving clinical needs and market trends, integrating proven technologies into solutions that are easy to use, reliable, and scalable."

The companies intend to develop and co-promote monitoring solutions that reflect evolving market demands and emerging clinical needs, including greater patient mobility requirements.

They will collaborate to advance smart, connected care and broaden access to the latest technologies, including AI algorithms.

Masimo CEO Katie Szyman said: "We are excited to continue to partner with Philips to bring Masimo's newest innovations in wearables and artificial intelligence to Philips' platforms.

"Expanding our strong, long-standing partnership with Philips allows us to build on our shared legacies of innovation and helps ensure that Masimo’s best-in-class technologies reach even more patients.”

In July, Philips entered a partnership with Epic to integrate its cardiac monitoring and diagnostics services suite with the latter’s diagnostics suite Aura.
