Prima Medicine has announced the opening of its fifth primary care clinic in the Washington metropolitan area in Tysons, Virginia, US.
The facility marks an expansion of the practice's presence across Northern Virginia.
The Tysons location joins existing Prima Medicine offices in Fair Oaks, Fairfax and South Riding, Merrifield.
This expansion provides access to primary care services for residents and workers in Dunn Loring, Falls Church, McLean, Vienna, Tysons, and surrounding areas.
According to Prima Medicine, patients at the Tysons clinic can experience a modern facility designed to support efficient primary care delivery.
The site features a “calming” waiting area, and digital check-in kiosks, supported by an administrative and clinical team focused on patient experience.
The practice aims to combine operational efficiency with a setting intended to help patients feel supported throughout their visit.
This clinic offers a full range of adult primary care services, including annual physicals, comprehensive primary care, chronic disease management, in-office procedures, laboratory services and preventive screenings.
Same-day and next-day appointments, telemedicine, medically supervised weight-loss programmes, concierge medicine and advanced care coordination are also available to patients at the new site.
Prima Medicine is led by Dr Chethana Rao and affiliated with Privia, a physician-led organisation that is claimed to use evidence-based protocols, digital tools and care coordination to enhance quality of care. The affiliation is intended to facilitate access to specialists, streamline care pathways and enhance personalised patient engagement across the practice’s locations.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on 11 December. The ceremony is expected to see participation of government officials and Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce representatives.
