Sentara Health has expanded its agreement with Andor Health for an enterprise licence of the ThinkAndor care platform, extending AI-powered virtual nursing and related capabilities across 1,742 rooms in 12 hospitals across the US.
A US-based not-for-profit health system, Sentara operates 12 hospitals, a health plan, and employs more than 34,000 people across Florida, Virginia, and northeastern North Carolina.
Following the initial implementation of ThinkAndor Virtual Nursing, Sentara will roll out AI-enhanced workflows throughout the entire system to advance its digital initiatives.
Sentara will activate ThinkAndor across priority programmes, enabling coverage for all hospital rooms across the facilities.
The deployment includes Agentic AI Virtual Sitting and Patient Safety with ambient observation, Agentic AI Virtual Nursing with ambient documentation, Agentic AI Transitional Care Management with virtual support, and Agentic AI Orchestration with remote consultations supporting eICU and acute care telehealth.
The enterprise roadmap features supplementary programmes such as AI-driven observation agents, remote patient monitoring, infection control, and behavioural health consultations.
Sentara and Andor have collaboratively prioritised these use cases to focus on achieving measurable returns on investment, enhancing clinician workflows, and improving quality across the healthcare system.
Andor Health chairman and CEO Raj Toleti said: “Sentara’s investment in an enterprise licence of ThinkAndor demonstrates the value AI can bring to health systems when deployed at scale.
“With ThinkAndor, Sentara can accelerate its digital transformation, optimise workflows across the enterprise, and deliver meaningful improvements in patient care while reducing clinician burden. Together, we are shaping the future of intelligent healthcare.”
The agreement emphasises ThinkAndor's influence on Sentara's clinical operations.
In May 2025, Sentara began using Andor’s AI-powered ThinkAndor platform in an effort to expand its range of virtual care services.
