Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and Boston-based Mass General Brigham (MGB) have launched a joint ambulatory care network on Florida’s East Coast, US.
The new partnership aims to increase access to outpatient services, including speciality and primary care, oncology, imaging, and outpatient surgical procedures, for residents in Martin, St Lucie and Palm Beach counties.
The initiative responds to local population growth and rising demand for coordinated, patient-centred care in the region.
The ambulatory care network leverages TGH’s extensive presence in Florida with MGB’s experience in academic medicine. Both organisations have collaborated previously and seek to deliver integrated outpatient services under this new venture.
The joint venture will start with a new radiation oncology centre in Palm Beach Gardens, expected to open before the end of the year. The centre will provide expanded cancer treatment options for Palm Beach County residents.
The partners also plan to grow the Tampa General Physicians Network, which currently covers 20 locations, and implement advanced training and joint clinical research initiatives.
Florida Health Sciences Center and TGH president and CEO John Couris said: “As one of the state’s leading academic health systems, Tampa General is committed to meeting the needs of Floridians by expanding access to world-class care.
“With this new ambulatory network, we are building on our strong foundation in Florida to ensure patients along the East Coast have seamless access to the highest-quality outpatient services.
“This partnership with one of the nation’s top academic health systems reflects our vision to lead in delivering innovative, patient-centred care across the state while strengthening the health of our communities today and for generations to come.”
In March 2025, TGH in Tampa, Florida, collaborated with Lakeside Medical Center to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare across the rural areas of Palm Beach County.
