Mt San Rafael Hospital and Clinics (MSRHC) in Colorado, US, has chosen Oracle Health to power its electronic health record (EHR) platform and boost clinical and financial performance.

The facility will deploy Oracle Health Foundation EHR in combination with Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent, a voice-driven solution designed to automate clinical documentation.

By embedding AI directly into daily clinical workflows, the hospital intends to reduce administrative burdens, support its caregivers, and create more time for direct patient care.

The hospital will also leverage Oracle Health Seamless Exchange to provide clinicians with timely, comprehensive patient information and facilitate care coordination with nearby hospitals and partners.

MSRHC’s chief information officer Michael Archuleta said: “Our move to Oracle Health is an intentional, strategic investment in the future of our organisation.

“By integrating true clinical AI with a modern, unified electronic health record, we’re giving our caregivers technology that removes barriers, reduces administrative strain, and strengthens the connection between our physicians and their patients. This positions Mt San Rafael to deliver a higher-performing, more connected, and more sustainable model of care for our region.”

MSRHC’s CEO Kim Lucero said: “At Mt San Rafael, every decision we make centres on delivering exceptional care to our community. Oracle Health gives our teams modern tools that enhance efficiency, elevate the patient experience, and support long-term sustainability.

“This investment reflects our commitment to advancing rural healthcare and ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care close to home.”

MSRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital catering to Trinidad, Colorado, and the surrounding region.

The integration of Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent into the Oracle Health Foundation EHR will allow MSRHC physicians to use natural conversation during patient encounters while the system automatically drafts structured clinical notes in the background.

Providers can then review and approve the documentation, significantly reducing time spent on manual data entry and supporting efforts to address physician burnout.

Oracle Health Seamless Exchange will enable MSRHC to securely aggregate data from national and local exchanges, immunisation registries, and other third-party sources.

Once cleansed and deduplicated, this information is presented within the clinician’s workflow, creating a more complete, longitudinal patient record and supporting faster, more informed clinical decision-making.

Oracle Health and Life Sciences executive vice-president and general manager Seema Verma said: “Oracle Health has a longstanding commitment to helping solve the unique challenges small and critical access hospitals face.

“By improving interoperability and providing AI-powered technology solutions that augment workflows and reduce the load on caregivers, we are empowering rural providers like Mt San Rafael to optimise their clinical and financial outcomes and expand access to patient care.”

Last month, Baraga County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) in the US announced the deployment of Oracle Health CommunityWorks solutions and the expansion of its Clinical AI Agent to streamline clinician workflows.

Recently, US-based CereCore joined Oracle’s enhanced partner programme to deliver IT infrastructure services, optimisation, application management, and specialised support to healthcare organisations that use Oracle Health platforms.
