Belgium’s healthcare industry registered a 14.3% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring a decreased by 19.17% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 25.01% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 4.7% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Belgium’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.18% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s healthcare industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.03% in August 2021, registering a 16.78% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 15.23% share, a decrease of 27.45% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 13.99%, registering a flat growth from July 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 11.52%, down 61.11% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in Belgium’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 26.89% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s healthcare industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
KBC Group posted 203 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 25.91% over the previous month, followed by Cognizant Technology Solutions with 6 jobs and a 64.71% drop. Atos with 6 IT jobs and Agfa-Gevaert with 4 jobs, recorded a 500% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Materialise recorded a decline of 55.56% with 4 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.95%, down by 23.31% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with a 12.76% share, registered a decline of 42.59% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 2.88% share, down 53.33% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.41%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
