China healthcare industry registered a 22.4% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 7.51% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.09% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 1.38% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.6% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China healthcare industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.59% in July 2021, a 74.49% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.6% share, an increase of 600% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.65%, registering an 88.24% rise from June 2021.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 2.37%, up 100% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in China IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 117.43% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China healthcare industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

International Business Machines posted 97 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 506.25% over the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 51 jobs and a 292.31% growth. Accenture with 41 IT jobs and Koninklijke Philips with 33 jobs, recorded a 70.83% growth and a 31.25% decline, respectively, while Tencent Holdings recorded an 87.5% increase with 15 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 83%, up by 135.96% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 9.09% share, a growth of 9.52% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.91% share, up 17.65% over June 2021.
