China’s healthcare industry registered a 12.0% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 8.23% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.93% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 1.88% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.65% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s healthcare industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 83.8% in August 2021, registering a 19% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 7.04% share, a decrease of 42.86% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.87%, registering a 73.81% decline from July 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 3.17%, up 125% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s healthcare industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
International Business Machines posted 92 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 6.12% over the previous month, followed by Accenture with 55 jobs and a 25% growth. Cisco Systems with 55 IT jobs and GE Healthcare with 37 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 30.19% decrease, respectively, while Tencent Holdings recorded a decline of 62.86% with 13 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.87%, down by 3.03% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.79% share, registered an increase of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.34% share, down 35.71% over July 2021.
