Germany’s healthcare industry registered a 7.0% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.01% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 17.84% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.84% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s healthcare industry in August 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.71% in August 2021, registering a 3.68% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 19.48% share, an increase of 15.38% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.69%, registering a 15.63% decline from July 2021.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.19%, up 71.43% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 2.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s healthcare industry during August 2021 over July 2021.

Allianz posted 62 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 17.33% over the previous month, followed by Zurich Insurance Group with 38 jobs and a flat growth. Atos with 13 IT jobs and International Business Machines with 11 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 65.63% decrease, respectively, while Unum Group recorded a decline of 10% with 9 job postings during August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.43%, down by 1.79% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.58% share, registered a decline of 20% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.79% share, down 18.18% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 5.19%, recording a month-on-month increase of 71.43%.
