Computer and Mathematical Occupations, with a share of 36%, emerged as the top cloud-related job roles within the healthcare industry in Q4 2023, with new job postings drop by 25% quarter-on-quarter. Management Occupations came in second with a share of 17% in Q4 2023, with new job postings dropping by 8% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent cloud roles include Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations with a 5% share in Q4 2023, Business and Financial Operations Occupations with a 5% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 45% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q4 2023 were CVS Health, Garnet Health Medical Center, CentraCare Health System, Privia Health Group, and Providence Health & Services. Together they accounted for a combined share of 45% of all cloud-related new jobs in the healthcare industry.

CVS Health posted 236 cloud-related new jobs in Q4 2023, Garnet Health Medical Center 185 jobs, CentraCare Health System 165 jobs, Privia Health Group 103 jobs, and Providence Health & Services 57 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 90.12% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023

The largest share of cloud-related new job postings in the healthcare industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 90.12% followed by India (2.22%) and France (1.68%). The share represented by the US was 0 percentage points higher than the 89.69% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
