Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations drive corporate governance-related hiring activity
Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, with a share of 45%, emerged as the top corporate governance-related job roles within the healthcare industry in Q3 2023, with new job postings drop by 29% quarter-on-quarter. Management Occupations came in second with a share of 7% in Q3 2023, with new job postings dropping by 41% over the previous quarter.
The other prominent corporate governance roles include Healthcare Support Occupations with a 6% share in Q3 2023, Community and Social Service Occupations with a 5% share of new job postings.
Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 32% of hiring activity
The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2023 were Vancouver Coastal Health, Peace Health, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, University Health Services, and Prime Healthcare Services. Together they accounted for a combined share of 32% of all corporate governance-related new jobs in the healthcare industry.
Vancouver Coastal Health posted 2,651 corporate governance-related new jobs in Q3 2023, Peace Health 1,386 jobs, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center 1,096 jobs, University Health Services 629 jobs, and Prime Healthcare Services 624 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
Hiring activity was driven by the US with an 81.83% share of total new job postings, Q3 2023
The largest share of corporate governance-related new job postings in the healthcare industry in Q3 2023 was in the US with 81.83% followed by Canada (15.05%) and Australia (1.52%). The share represented by the US was four percentage points lower than the 85.49% share it accounted for in Q2 2023.
