Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations drive corporate governance-related hiring activity

Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, with a share of 33%, emerged as the top corporate governance-related job roles within the healthcare industry in Q1 2023, with new job postings drop by 14% quarter-on-quarter. Management Occupations came in second with a share of 13% in Q1 2023, with new job postings dropping by 8% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent corporate governance roles include Healthcare Support Occupations with a 6% share in Q1 2023, Computer and Mathematical Occupations with a 4% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 33% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q1 2023 were Genesis HealthCare, Tata AIG General Insurance, Vancouver Coastal Health, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, and Edward D Jones & Co. Together they accounted for a combined share of 33% of all corporate governance-related new jobs in the healthcare industry.

Genesis HealthCare posted 5,707 corporate governance-related new jobs in Q1 2023, Tata AIG General Insurance 4,384 jobs, Vancouver Coastal Health 2,574 jobs, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center 1,760 jobs, and Edward D Jones & Co 1,662 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 74.36% share of total new job postings, Q1 2023

The largest share of corporate governance-related new job postings in the healthcare industry in Q1 2023 was in the US with 74.36% followed by India (11.53%) and Canada (7.77%). The share represented by the US was one percentage point higher than the 72.87% share it accounted for in Q4 2022.
