Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations drive healthcare hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, which accounted for 47% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were down by 3% year-on-year. Second highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which accounted for 7% and drop by 46% year-on-year, and third highest were Management Occupations, which were 28% of the new job postings and 31% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in healthcare accounted for 73% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Alberta Health Services with 10,598, followed by Vancouver Coastal Health with 2,779, while the highest increase was at Trillium Health Partners at 29%.
