Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, with a share of 37%, emerged as the top personal health data-related job roles within the healthcare industry in Q3 2023, with new job postings drop by 26% quarter-on-quarter. Healthcare Support Occupations came in second with a share of 26% in Q3 2023, with new job postings dropping by 12% over the previous quarter.
The other prominent personal health data roles include Office and Administrative Support Occupations with a 7% share in Q3 2023, Management Occupations with a 4% share of new job postings.
Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 16% of hiring activity
The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2023 were Advocate Aurora Health, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Bon Secours Mercy Health, Steward Health Care System, and Carilion Clinic. Together they accounted for a combined share of 16% of all personal health data-related new jobs in the healthcare industry.
Advocate Aurora Health posted 1,610 personal health data-related new jobs in Q3 2023, Nationwide Children's Hospital 819 jobs, Bon Secours Mercy Health 805 jobs, Steward Health Care System 750 jobs, and Carilion Clinic 706 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 95.90% share of total new job postings, Q3 2023
The largest share of personal health data-related new job postings in the healthcare industry in Q3 2023 was in the US with 95.90% followed by Canada (2.04%) and the UK (1.59%). The share represented by the US was one percentage point higher than the 95.10% share it accounted for in Q2 2023.
