IT jobs accounted for a 24.9% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering decrease of 1.57% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 67.57% in July 2021, a 3.23% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 11.71% in July 2021, marking a 160% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 10.36% in July 2021, a 53.33% growth from June 2021.

Top five healthcare companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 10% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s healthcare industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Discovery posted 64 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 20.75% over the previous month, followed by Check Point Software Technologies with 23 jobs and a 48.89% drop. International Business Machines with 21 IT jobs and Cognizant Technology Solutions with 12 jobs, recorded a 10.53% growth and a 300% increase, respectively, while Armis recorded a flat growth with 12 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s healthcare industry
South Africa commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 36.49% share in July 2021, a 22.73% rise over June 2021. Israel featured next with a 34.23% share, down 18.28% over the previous month. Yemen recorded a 5.41% share, a flat growth compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.01%, down by 5.07% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.77% share, a growth of 37.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 15.77% share, up 45.83% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.45%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
