The top five companies accounted for 10% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Abbott Laboratories filed the most connected care patents within the healthcare industry in Q1 2024. The company filed 47 connected care-related patents in the quarter, compared with 21 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Johnson & Johnson with 45 connected care patent filings, Koninklijke Philips (30 filings), and DexCom (25 filings) in Q1 2024.
