The top five companies accounted for 11% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Johnson & Johnson filed the most smart hospitals patents within the healthcare industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 101 smart hospitals-related patents in the quarter, compared with 91 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Koninklijke Philips with 96 smart hospitals patent filings, Medtronic (71 filings), and DexCom (42 filings) in Q4 2023.
