Switzerland healthcare industry registered a 2.2% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.31% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 59.18% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 7.45% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Switzerland healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.05% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland healthcare industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 80.85% in July 2021, a 34.22% drop over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 9.63% share, decline of 17.51% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 5.33%, registering a 41.07% decline from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.9%, down 50.46% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in Switzerland IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 33.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland healthcare industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

DXC Technology posted 1,805 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 34.17% over the previous month, followed by Zurich Insurance Group with 18 jobs and a 38.46% growth. Cognizant Technology Solutions with 11 IT jobs and Helvetia Group with 9 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 12.5% increase, respectively, while Arch Capital Group recorded a 40% decline with 3 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.35%, down by 34.16% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.6% share, a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.99% share, down 34.67% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.05%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
