What is Business Expansion?

Business Expansion is one of our largest categories and looks at the core functions of business operations within the sector.

This consists of any projects that have expanded the company’s footprint in the sector, including: contract wins; launching in new territories; launching new product lines; the acquisition and expansion of facilities and real estate; acquisition of new machinery or other assets; improved logistics; partnerships; and significant staff increases.

Themes

Despite the disruption that Covid has brought to the world economy, hospital construction continues apace and the virus itself has been one of the major driving factors behind many of the business expansion case studies we have seen companies undertake.

One clear theme is the increasing use of digital management in patient experience platforms, evidence of the industry’s continued efforts to achieve a more holistic standard of care. There has also been a boom in contracts for digital check-in systems.

We have also seen the increasing prevalence of data activation platforms, with hospitals employing ever more sophisticated data activation techniques to generate actionable insights.

As with many other industries, IoT technology implementation is also a focus in hospital management, with care providers keen to tap into the benefits of automation. The application of 5G technology in ambulances is also on the rise.
