Asia-Pacific witnessed a 5.2% drop in IT hiring activity in the healthcare industry in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics dashboard.

October 2022 has seen an increase of 5.22% in the overall hiring activity when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 1.93% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in October 2022, registering a decrease of 0.5% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in October 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 37.89% in October 2022, a 25% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 33.68% in October 2022, marking a 190.91% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 13.68% in October 2022, an 18.18% rise from September 2022.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 8.42% in October 2022, a 55.56% decline over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 71.79% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s healthcare industry during October 2022 over previous month.

Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 31 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 29.17% over the previous month, followed by Healthcare Australia with 12 jobs and an 1100% growth. CompuGroup Medical SEKGaA with 10 IT jobs and CitiusTech with 9 jobs, recorded a 25% rise and a 50% rise, respectively, while Your World Healthcare recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during October 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s healthcare industry

Australia commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 62.11% share in October 2022, a 34.09% increase over September 2022. India featured next with a 28.42% share, down 38.64% over the previous month. New Zealand recorded a 5.26% share, a growth of 25% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60%, down by 21.92% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.11% share, registered a growth of 250% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 17.89% share, flat growth over September 2022.
