February 2022 has seen a decrease of 14.47% in the overall hiring activity when compared with January 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 2.09% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in February 2022, registering a decrease of 0.1% over the last three-month average share.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 27.78% in February 2022, a 66.67% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 27.78% in February 2022, marking a 44.44% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 27.78% in February 2022, a 25% rise from January 2022.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 16.67% in February 2022, a 50% rise over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 15% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s just drinks industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Thai Beverage Public posted 5 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a decline of 16.67% over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 4 jobs and a flat growth. San Miguel with 4 IT jobs and Mondelez International with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 40% drop, respectively, while Emperador Distillers recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.

Philippines commanded a leading presence in the region’s just drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in February 2022, a flat growth over January 2022. Thailand featured next with a 27.78% share, down 28.57% over the previous month. India recorded a 16.67% share, a drop of 40% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.78%, down by 6.67% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.67% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.56% share, down 66.67% over January 2022.
