April 2022 has seen an increase of 11.1% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 2.35% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering an increase of 0.12% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 46.88% in April 2022, a 200% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25% in April 2022, marking a 14.29% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 18.75% in April 2022, a 50% rise from March 2022.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 6.25% in April 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 118.18% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s just drinks industry during April 2022 over previous month.
Coca-Cola Amatil posted 7 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 6 jobs and a 200% growth. Mondelez International with 4 IT jobs and San Miguel with 4 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a 33.33% drop, respectively, while The Coca-Cola recorded a 200% increase with 3 job postings during April 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s just drinks industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s just drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 31.25% share in April 2022, a 42.86% increase over March 2022. Australia featured next with a 25% share, flat growth over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 15.63% share, a drop of 50% compared with March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.88%, up by 64.29% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.75% share, registered a growth of 200% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.25% share, down 33.33% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 3.13%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
