Australia’s healthcare industry registered an 11.8% rise in IT hiring activity in January 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.32% in January 2022 when compared with December 2022.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.28% share in January 2022, recording an increase of 0.26% over the last three-month average share.

Top five healthcare companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in January 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s healthcare industry during January 2022 over December 2022.

Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 33 IT jobs in January 2022 and registered a rise of 13.79% over the previous month, followed by Ramsay Health Care with 4 jobs and a 100% growth. Genesis Care with 3 IT jobs and Queensland Children’s Hospital with 1 jobs, recorded a 76.92% decline and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in January 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.49%, down by 10.81% from December 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.2% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.32% share, flat growth over December 2022.
