Australia’s healthcare industry registered a 7.4% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 9.12% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 0.85% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.19% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s healthcare industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 32.2% in October 2022, registering an 11.76% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 28.81% share, an increase of 183.33% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 20.34%, registering a 71.43% rise from September 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 10.17%, down 25% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 89.29% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s healthcare industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 31 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 29.17% over the previous month, followed by Healthcare Australia with 12 jobs and an 1100% growth. Your World Healthcare with 5 IT jobs and Genesis Care with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Ramsay Health Care recorded a decline of 33.33% with 2 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.02%, flat growth from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 32.2% share, registered an increase of 280% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.78% share, up 33.33% over September 2022.
