The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.28% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1% share in November 2022, recording an increase of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 6.9% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s healthcare industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

Alberta Health Services posted 44 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 8.33% over the previous month, followed by Vancouver Coastal Health with 7 jobs and a 250% growth. McKesson with 5 IT jobs and Mackenzie Health with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.33% growth, respectively, while Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.54%, down by 23.08% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30.77% share, registered an increase of 66.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.69% share, flat growth over October 2022.
