Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 43.9% in August 2022, a 10% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 29.27% in August 2022, marking a 20% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 21.95% in August 2022, a 10% drop from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 166.67% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s healthcare industry during August 2022 over previous month.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust posted 7 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 600% over the previous month, followed by CompuGroup Medical SEKGaA with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Medical Research Council with 4 IT jobs and Huma Therapeutics with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Pharmacy2U recorded a 62.5% decline with 3 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s healthcare industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 56.1% share in August 2022, a 34.29% decrease over July 2022. Belgium featured next with a 9.76% share, flat growth over the previous month. Spain recorded a 4.88% share, a drop of 66.67% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.73%, down by 27.5% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.27% share, registered a growth of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
