Computer Support Specialists Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 26.67% in December 2021, a 433.33% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 26.67% in December 2021, marking a 67.35% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 23.33% in December 2021, a 75% rise from November 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 14.89% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s healthcare industry during December 2021 over previous month.
CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. posted 20 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a decline of 28.57% over the previous month, followed by Penticton Regional Hospital with 8 jobs and a 166.67% growth. Elanco Animal Health with 4 IT jobs and Ramsay Health Care with 4 jobs, recorded a 300% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Signant Health recorded a 63.64% decline with 4 job postings during December 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s healthcare industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 35% share in December 2021, a 22.22% decrease over November 2021. The UK featured next with a 28.33% share, up 54.55% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 16.67% share, a growth of 100% compared with November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.67%, down by 12.24% from November 2021. Entry Level positions with a 16.67% share, registered a decline of 47.37% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10% share, flat growth over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.67%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
