Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 39.13% in May 2022, an 18.18% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 21.74% in May 2022, marking a 37.5% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 13.04% in May 2022, a 40% drop from April 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 48.28% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s healthcare industry during May 2022 over previous month.
Penticton Regional Hospital posted 5 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 25% over the previous month, followed by CompuGroup Medical SEKGaA with 4 jobs and an 81.82% drop. Barchester Healthcare with 2 IT jobs and Incen with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Hirslanden Private Hospital Group recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during May 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s healthcare industry
Canada commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 26.09% share in May 2022, a 50% increase over April 2022. Switzerland featured next with a 21.74% share, up 66.67% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 17.39% share, a drop of 60% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.91%, down by 48.48% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.74% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.35% share, down 75% over April 2022.
