The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 17.12% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 1.35% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2022, and recorded a 0.36% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Mars IT hiring in April 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Mars, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 54.55% in April 2022, and a 66.67% drop over March 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 36.36% in April 2022, and registered a decline of 50%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.09% in April 2022, an 85.71% drop from March 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Mars

North America emerged as the leading region in the global just food IT hiring activity in April 2022 with a 45.45% share, which marked a 79.17% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 27.27%, registering a 50% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 27.27% share and a 76.92% drop over March 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s just food industry IT hiring activity with a 36.36% share in April 2022, an 81.82% decline over March 2022. The UK featured next with an 18.18% share, down 75% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.82%, down by 74.29% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.18% share, a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.
