September 2022 has seen a decrease of 1.02% in the overall hiring activity when compared with August 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 1.25% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2022, registering a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in September 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 31.21% in September 2022, a 2.4% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 28.87% in September 2022, marking a 77.67% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 16.17% in September 2022, a 21.37% drop from August 2022.
Computer Support Specialists registered a share of 11.25% in September 2022, a 4.78% decline over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 87.04% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s healthcare industry during September 2022 over previous month.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 685 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered an increase of 180.74% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 173 jobs and a flat growth. Laboratoryof America Holdings with 75 IT jobs and McKesson with 53 jobs, recorded a 31.58% rise and a 43.24% rise, respectively, while UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center recorded a 5.41% increase with 39 job postings during September 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s healthcare industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 97.98% share in September 2022, a 12.87% increase over August 2022. Canada featured next with a 1.98% share, up 2.08% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.04% share, a drop of 83.33% compared with August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.91%, up by 19.75% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.94% share, registered a decline of 5.79% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.82% share, up 17.87% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.24%, recording a month-on-month decline of 25%.
