Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 28.77% in October 2022, a 38.69% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 24% in October 2022, marking a 44.09% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 15.63% in October 2022, a 1.85% drop from September 2022.

Top five healthcare companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 44.48% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s healthcare industry during October 2022 over previous month.
Apria Healthcare Group posted 220 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 151 jobs and a 12.72% drop. Laboratoryof America Holdings with 63 IT jobs and Intermountain Healthcare with 60 jobs, recorded a 16% drop and a 91.24% drop, respectively, while Alberta Health Services recorded a 22.22% increase with 44 job postings during October 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s healthcare industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 96.05% share in October 2022, a 34.34% decrease over September 2022. Canada featured next with a 3.71% share, up 28.57% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.24% share, a growth of 300% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.27%, down by 25.7% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.1% share, registered a decline of 31.17% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 16.33% share, down 52.81% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.29%, recording a month-on-month decline of 16.67%.
