Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 29.63% in November 2022, a 12.45% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 27.89% in November 2022, marking a 38.76% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 18.66% in November 2022, a 30.73% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 11.94% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s healthcare industry during November 2022 over previous month.

Intermountain Healthcare posted 269 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 55.49% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 125 jobs and a 17.22% drop. Laboratoryof America Holdings with 57 IT jobs and Alberta Health Services with 41 jobs, recorded a 9.52% drop and a 6.82% drop, respectively, while McKesson recorded a 13.16% decline with 33 job postings during November 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s healthcare industry

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 95.57% share in November 2022, a 34.43% decrease over October 2022. Canada featured next with a 4.43% share, down 7.58% over the previous month. recorded a flat share, a flat growth compared with October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.67%, down by 44.52% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.76% share, registered a growth of 1.02% compared with the previous month.
