April 2022 has seen a decrease of 8.36% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 1.51% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering an increase of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 45.55% in April 2022, a 31% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 17.19% in April 2022, marking a 36.14% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 15.36% in April 2022, a 24.76% drop from March 2022.

Top five healthcare companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 46.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s healthcare industry during April 2022 over previous month.
CVS Health posted 231 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered an increase of 8.96% over the previous month, followed by Apria Healthcare Group with 221 jobs and a 50.45% drop. Oak Street Health with 146 IT jobs and Intermountain Healthcare with 95 jobs, recorded a 3.95% drop and an 81.94% drop, respectively, while McKesson recorded a 13.64% decline with 57 job postings during April 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s healthcare industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 97.74% share in April 2022, a 37.63% decrease over March 2022. Canada featured next with a 2.07% share, down 29.51% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.19% share, a drop of 42.86% compared with March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.05%, down by 27.87% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.46% share, registered a decline of 57.58% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 18.15% share, down 31.58% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.34%, recording a month-on-month decline of 41.67%.
