Top five healthcare companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 78.31% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s healthcare industry during September 2021 over previous month.

International Business Machines posted 5,178 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered an increase of 231.07% over the previous month, followed by Cognizant Technology Solutions with 1,072 jobs and a 9.76% drop. AT&T with 1,041 IT jobs and UnitedHealth Group with 547 jobs, recorded a 9.01% rise and an 8.1% rise, respectively, while Anthem recorded an 11.91% decline with 318 job postings during September 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s healthcare industry

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 95.32% share in September 2021, a 22.55% increase over August 2021. Canada featured next with a 3.74% share, down 0.9% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.94% share, a drop of 31.34% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.64%, up by 16.48% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 34.88% share, registered a growth of 31.98% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.05% share, up 10.28% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.44%, recording a month-on-month decline of 9.72%.
