March 2022 has seen a decrease of 3.86% in the overall hiring activity when compared with February 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 1.55% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in March 2022, registering an increase of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in March 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 42.53% in March 2022, an 11.17% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 17.1% in March 2022, marking a 26.36% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 15.47% in March 2022, a 52.42% rise from February 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 21.16% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s healthcare industry during March 2022 over previous month.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 460 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a decline of 1.29% over the previous month, followed by Apria Healthcare Group with 447 jobs and a 140.32% growth. CVS Health with 196 IT jobs and Oak Street Health with 147 jobs, recorded a 4.39% drop and a 0.68% drop, respectively.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s healthcare industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 98% share in March 2022, a 9.78% increase over February 2022. Canada featured next with a 1.75% share, down 8.06% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.25% share, a drop of 33.33% compared with February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.43%, up by 2.73% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.92% share, registered a growth of 15.96% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.28% share, up 21.12% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.37%, recording a month-on-month growth of 71.43%.
