The US’s healthcare industry registered a 1.2% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.77% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.25% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.23% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 31.65% in September 2022, registering a 1.66% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 28.27% share, an increase of 79.37% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 16.17%, registering a 22.02% decline from August 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 11.44%, down 1.07% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 88.21% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 685 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 180.74% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 173 jobs and a flat growth. Laboratoryof America Holdings with 75 IT jobs and McKesson with 50 jobs, recorded a 31.58% growth and a 56.25% growth, respectively, while UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center recorded an increase of 5.41% with 39 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.72%, up by 21.14% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.96% share, registered a decline of 7.15% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 18.02% share, up 19.35% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.21%, recording a month-on-month decline of 28.57%.
