The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.25% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.52% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.13% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.86% in April 2022, registering a 31.19% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 16.65% share, a decrease of 36.82% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.57%, registering a 24.4% decline from March 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.27%, down 50.79% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 46.39% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
CVS Health posted 231 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 8.96% over the previous month, followed by Apria Healthcare Group with 217 jobs and a 50.57% drop. Oak Street Health with 146 IT jobs and Intermountain Healthcare with 95 jobs, recorded a 3.95% decline and an 81.94% decrease, respectively, while McKesson recorded a decline of 5.26% with 54 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.89%, down by 27.8% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.49% share, registered a decline of 57.85% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 18.28% share, down 31.8% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.34%, recording a month-on-month decline of 41.67%.
