The US’s healthcare industry registered a 3.3% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.49% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.28% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 33.89% in July 2022, registering an 18.42% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 24.42% share, a decrease of 28.95% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 21.68%, registering an 18.42% decline from June 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 9.14%, down 22.02% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 13.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Intermountain Healthcare posted 423 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 26.56% over the previous month, followed by UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center with 124 jobs and a flat growth. CVS Health with 110 IT jobs and Laboratoryof America Holdings with 81 jobs, recorded a 40.54% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while McKesson recorded a decline of 25.86% with 43 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.81%, up by 2.96% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.31% share, registered a decline of 38% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.72% share, down 17.21% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.16%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
