
The US’s healthcare industry registered a 2.0% rise in IT hiring activity in January 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.46% in January 2022 when compared with December 2022.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.33% share in January 2022, recording an increase of 0.14% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in January 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in January 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 46.47% in January 2022, registering a 10.34% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 18.29% share, an increase of 7.16% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.65%, registering an 8.02% decline from December 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.14%, up 0.98% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in January 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 4.17% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during January 2022 over December 2022.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 295 IT jobs in January 2022 and registered a drop of 3.91% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 211 jobs and a 1.44% growth. Oak Street Health with 134 IT jobs and Mayo Clinic with 94 jobs, recorded a 16.77% decline and a 129.27% growth, respectively, while Providence Health & Services recorded an increase of 29.41% with 66 job postings during January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in January 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.26%, down by 15.34% from December 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.49% share, registered an increase of 9.45% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.9% share, down 13.52% over December 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.35%, recording a month-on-month decline of 25%.
