
The US’s healthcare industry registered a 3.6% rise in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.73% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.23% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.63% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 47.01% in December 2021, registering a 16.9% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 15.3% share, an increase of 9.57% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 13%, registering a 12.9% rise from November 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 12.4%, up 1.83% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 70.13% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 307 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 1818.75% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 208 jobs and a 2.35% drop. Oak Street Health with 161 IT jobs and HCA Healthcare with 146 jobs, recorded a 54.81% growth and a 5.04% growth, respectively, while McKesson recorded an increase of 29.79% with 61 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59%, up by 9.06% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.06% share, registered an increase of 19.04% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 18.57% share, up 10.62% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.37%, recording a month-on-month increase of 400%.
