The US’s healthcare industry registered a 5.2% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.5% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.39% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.17% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.96% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in February 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 42.4% in February 2022, registering a 1.34% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 18.68% share, an increase of 53.39% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 14.73%, registering a 15.98% decline from January 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 12%, up 24.63% over the previous month.

Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 50.07% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

Intermountain Healthcare posted 411 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 37% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 203 jobs and a 2.01% growth. Apria Healthcare Group with 182 IT jobs and Oak Street Health with 148 jobs, recorded a 4450% growth and a 10.45% growth, respectively, while Landmark Health recorded an increase of 81.58% with 69 job postings during February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.23%, up by 9.14% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.42% share, registered an increase of 12.21% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 16.13% share, down 5.47% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.22%, recording a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
