The US’s healthcare industry registered a 5.4% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.11% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.56% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.24% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 42.83% in March 2022, registering an 11.89% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 16.72% share, an increase of 26.9% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.47%, registering a 56.01% rise from February 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 12.74%, up 21.19% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 20.89% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s healthcare industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 460 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 1.29% over the previous month, followed by Apria Healthcare Group with 439 jobs and a 141.21% growth. CVS Health with 196 IT jobs and Oak Street Health with 147 jobs, recorded a 4.39% decline and a 0.68% decrease, respectively.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.19%, up by 3.54% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.02% share, registered an increase of 15.52% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.41% share, up 21.71% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.38%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
