The US’s just food industry registered a 6.8% drop in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.34% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the just food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.58% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.34% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s just food industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s just food industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 43.63% in April 2022, registering a 33.21% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 20.71% share, an increase of 3.05% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 18.5%, registering an 18.82% decline from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 12.01%, down 12.5% over the previous month.
Top five just food companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 16.46% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s just food industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Nestle posted 441 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 30.09% over the previous month, followed by The J. R. Simplot with 108 jobs and a 53.45% drop. Rich Products with 67 IT jobs and JBS with 37 jobs, recorded a 63.59% decline and a 5.13% decrease, respectively, while Bunge recorded an increase of 35% with 27 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.66%, down by 27.95% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.98% share, registered a decline of 10.44% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 18.26% share, down 13.87% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.1%, recording a month-on-month increase of 80%.
