The US’s just food industry registered a 41.2% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.24% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the just food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.26% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.38% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the US’s just food industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.82% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s just food industry in February 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 50.46% in February 2022, registering a 106.82% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.04% share, an increase of 329.17% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 17.74%, registering a 21.52% rise from January 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.06%, up 19.51% over the previous month.

Top five just food companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 131.98% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s just food industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

The J. R. Simplot posted 217 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Nestle with 85 jobs and a 672.73% growth. Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 42 IT jobs and HelloFresh with 33 jobs, recorded a 16% decline and a 58.23% decrease, respectively, while JBS recorded a decline of 31.25% with 22 job postings during February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.26%, up by 89.53% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with a 22.18% share, registered an increase of 90.48% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 17.19% share, up 57.63% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.37%, recording a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
