The US’s just food industry registered a 49.9% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.85% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the just food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.67% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.66% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the US’s just food industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.97% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s just food industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 50.87% in March 2022, registering a 92.34% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 18.44% share, an increase of 98.96% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.35%, registering a 54.37% rise from February 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.81%, up 119.61% over the previous month.

Top five just food companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 119.1% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s just food industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Nestle posted 315 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 270.59% over the previous month, followed by The J. R. Simplot with 232 jobs and a 6.91% growth. Rich Products with 184 IT jobs and Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 50 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 19.05% growth, respectively, while HelloFresh recorded an increase of 36.36% with 45 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.44%, up by 106.08% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 17.57% share, registered an increase of 51.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 16.51% share, up 83.87% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.48%, recording a month-on-month increase of 150%.
