Private equity firm ZT Corporate has announced the re-opening of Austin Emergency Center’s (AEC) emergency room (ER) in Arboretum area of Texas.

The facility is one of the seven AEC centres in Central Texas.

The AEC facility was inaugurated in the presence of West Austin Chamber of Commerce representatives, partners and stakeholders.

Previously serving as an urgent care facility, the new ER with expanded services and technologies will now be a freestanding emergency centre working round the clock.

The emergency centre will offer a wide range of services including CT imaging, full-service labs, certified emergency room physicians, among others.

AEC CEO Sandeepkumar Singh said: “The Arboretum location will expand our mission of providing top-class patient-centred emergency care to our local community.

The facility was upgraded following ZT Corporate’s acquisition of AEC in 2021.

This brings a total of 17 freestanding emergency centres to the healthcare portfolio of ZT Corporate.

ZT Corporate chairman and CEO Taseer Badar said: “The addition of Austin Emergency Center to our robust healthcare portfolio positions us as one of the leading operators of freestanding emergency centres in the state of Texas.”

ZT Corporate managing partner and Altus Community Health president Kraig Killough said: “Our shared history and reputation of operating well-established emergency centres in Texas made Austin Emergency Center an ideal asset to our network.

“Overall demand for emergency medical care has continued to increase over the years, and our goal to increase access to top level care remains the same.”
