California-based clinic Agile Occupational Medicine has expanded its network of occupational medicine clinics with the acquisition of WorkWell Medical Group in Salinas, California.

With this deal, Agile has acquired WorkWell’s five clinics, which will now operate under the Agile brand. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

This acquisition is claimed to have made Agile the fourth largest occupational medical group in California, Agile will now have 20 clinics spread across California and in Yuma, Arizona.

Agile founder and CEO Greg Moore said: “With the acquisition of WorkWell, Agile solidifies its commitment to supporting the agriculture industry and expands its footprint to provide more complete coverage in northern California.

“Our shared vision of delivering the highest quality care to injured workers and supporting employers’ occupational health drew the two organisations together early on. We are very excited to add their variety of speciality services to augment our existing clinics in the area and allow us to provide a more complete solution to this market.”

Commenting on the deal, WorkWell’s CEO Sridhar Murthy said: “Joining Agile was the obvious choice to build on the stellar service reputation WorkWell had and expand its reach in servicing the farming communities of central California.
