AdventHealth has appointed Andrew Santos as the new president and CEO of AdventHealth North Pinellas in Florida, US, effective from 12 January.

Santos will be responsible for overseeing the operations and expansion plans for the hospital.

He will report directly to the regional CEO Jennifer Wandersleben, overseeing the markets of Hardee, Highlands, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk counties.

Wandersleben said: “Andrew is a dedicated and compassionate servant leader who has served AdventHealth for well over a decade.

“It has been a joy to see him grow over the years, and I’m confident he will lead AdventHealth North Pinellas to new heights as the top hospital in Pinellas County for whole-person care.”

Previously, Santos held the position of vice president and COO for AdventHealth’s Heartland Region.

During his tenure, he managed operational oversight for AdventHealth Sebring, AdventHealth Lake Placid, and AdventHealth Wauchula.

His leadership was marked by increased market share in key service areas, enhanced operational efficiencies, and improved outcomes.

In his previous role, Santos also worked as the administrator for AdventHealth Lake Placid.

He was instrumental in fostering a collaborative culture and boosting employee engagement.

Santos’s career with AdventHealth spans over a decade, with various leadership roles across the West Florida, Central Florida, and Multi-State divisions from 2012.

Santos said: “I’m honored and humbled to be called to serve AdventHealth’s facility in Pinellas County.

“I look forward to collaborating with the great physicians, leaders and team members at AdventHealth North Pinellas who already provide whole-person care to the beautiful, close-knit Tarpon Springs community.”

Santos’s academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Walla Walla University.

He is also a 2021 alumnus of the Executive Leadership Program at AdventHealth.

Beyond his professional commitments, Santos actively contributes to his community by serving on the boards of the Greater Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce and the South Florida State College Foundation.
