Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Missouri (Anthem) has selected Pike County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) to serve as the preferred provider of its Medicare Advantage (MA) health plans.
The collaboration has helped to cut down out-of-pocket costs for consumers compared to seeing a care provider outside of Anthem’s network.
Anthem president of medicare central region David McNichols said: “The addition of Pike County Memorial Hospital to our Medicare Advantage network exemplifies how Anthem strives to make health care simpler for consumers by making it easier for them to see care providers in their communities.
“We are honoured to have PCMH join our prestigious network of care providers and look forward to working together to help consumers improve their health and well-being.”
PCMH is a community hospital that offers a range of services, including cardiology, medical-surgical services, neurology, emergency department and emergency medical services, outpatient surgery, pulmonology, radiology, physical therapy, rheumatology, and four family practice clinics.
Pike County Memorial Hospital CEO Justin Selle said: “It’s our desire to provide the best care in this region and this announcement is consistent with that goal. We will work together with Anthem to ensure consumers receive the personal, quality, and accessible health care they deserve.”
